Furnace Rebuilders was established in 1995 out of a growing need to provide multiple services in the Metal Heat Treating industry (ferrous/nonferrous). We continue to grow and expand in our coverage area, services and material supply. At Furnace Rebuilders, Inc. we believe that quality and dependability of the services we provide are second to none. Our attention to detail will provide the service you can depend on to get the job done right. Every job is treated with extra care. We have years of knowledge and experience with most major furnace manufacturer's construction, design and operation. As a service we can provide advice on our complete line of refractory materials for your installation.

Tim Smith Sr.: Founder of Furnace Rebuilders Inc. retired in January of 2015, however remains active with the company in a consulting role. His extensive knowledge and experience of 40 plus years in the industry remains an asset to the company.

John Murphy: Owner, began work in the industry in 1989 with a refractory manufacturing company and has held several positions since including engineering, sales and construction management.

Furnace Rebuilders Incorporated has recently added pyrometry services to its array of furnace maintenance offerings as announced by John Murphy, company president and chief executive officer. In addition, the company received ISO/IEC 17025:2005 R205 accreditation for this new service.

“We now have trained staff who can provide control instrument calibration, standardized accuracy testing and temperature uniformity surveys, Murphy said. Of course, this new calibration service is in addition to the full line up of furnace install, repair and rebuild services we have provided for many years."

Furnace Rebuilders was established in 1995 and now serves large, medium and small industries throughout the Southeastern US. Services rendered include refractory repair and relines; combustion system upgrades, tuning and repair; mechanical services; complete preventative maintenance programs; furnace retrofits; and NFPA compliance inspections and services. The newly added services includes control instrument calibration, standardized accuracy testing, and temperature uniformity surveys (CQ19, AMS2750E or customer specific requirements). The company is also a distributor of refractory and insulation material and well as furnace parts and controls.

Murphy says the company is prepared to accept new customers and would welcome a call so that their services can be explained in further detail.

John Murphy, president and CEO of Furnace Rebuilders, Incorporated, has announced that he has become the sole owner of the business as of September 30. Murphy has been a partner of Tim Smith, Sr., who established the Denver, NC- based business in 1995. Smith retired on January 1, of this year, but remains active in the business as a consultant.

Furnace Rebuilders, (www.furnacerebuilders.com), has become a leading industrial heat treating furnace service provider in the Southeast specializing in refractory repair and relining, combustion and heating systems, mechanical services and preventive maintenance programs. The company's customers include a number of Fortune 500 firms as well as small independent companies.

John has 26 years in the furnace industry with experience ranging from refractory design, sales and marketing during employment with a leading refractory manufacturer. He has additional experience in the construction segment of the industry for the past 13 years and is well equipped to lead the company in the future.

John is native of Charleston, SC, and attended Aiken Technical College and Louisiana State University. He is currently a resident of Huntersville, NC, is married and has two daughters.
